Pupil Voice
At Furzedown School we value the thoughts and opinions of all our children. We have a range of Pupil Voice groups within our school and the children who represent their peers in these groups, ensure that all opinions are put forwards at the appropriate Pupil Voice forums. Most groups meet at least once a half term.
School Council At the beginning of each school year, each class elects representatives to sit on the School Council. School Council discuss issues with the class and bring the issues to the meeting. Each class has time during the week in which the School council members are able to talk with their class. |

ECO Warriors Each class has a team of Eco Warriors who are passionate about making sure the environment is clean and cared for. They are vigilant about the use of utilities and encourage others to take responsibility as well. |
|
UNICEF Ambassadors. There are 14 children who meet during the end of each term to discuss any concerns or any improvements they feel could benefit the school. Information from these meetings inform the school’s action plan of a Rights Respecting School. |

Bully Buddies Year 6 children are voted in as Bully Buddies. They are a team of children who are on the look out for any confrontations or disputes. They help to resolve situations and settle differences. If any children feel threatened or bullied, this team can raise awareness quickly with adults in school, who will deal promptly with the situation. |

Playground Friends There is a large team of children who are on duty in the playground. They look out for children on their own and organise activities and games for them to join in with. |
